Welcome to OnceUponU. By accessing or using our website at onceuponu.com and creating or purchasing a personalized story, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
OnceUponU is an online service that creates personalized illustrated stories using information, ideas, and images provided by users. Our stories are created and illustrated with the assistance of artificial intelligence and other digital technologies.
OnceUponU currently provides digital products only. Stories are delivered electronically as PDF files. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, your purchase does not include a printed or physical book. You may download and print your PDF for personal use.
To create a personalized story, you may provide:
You are responsible for ensuring that the information is accurate and that you have permission to provide and use any uploaded photographs or content. If you upload a child’s photograph, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian, or otherwise have appropriate permission. Uploaded photographs are processed automatically, never saved, and never viewed by anyone.
OnceUponU uses artificial intelligence to assist in generating stories and illustrations. AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies, unexpected details, visual inconsistencies, spelling differences, or variations between illustrations.
We work to provide high-quality results, but cannot guarantee that every image or text will perfectly reproduce a person’s appearance or exactly match every instruction. Generation may occasionally be rejected or interrupted by automated content-safety systems.
Where available, OnceUponU may let you generate or view part of your personalized story before purchase. Payment unlocks the complete story and/or allows you to receive the completed PDF according to the selected product or package. The final price is displayed before payment.
OnceUponU may offer packages containing multiple stories. A reusable story code may be used only for the number of stories specified at purchase. Unless stated otherwise, the same code may create stories with different heroes, photographs, themes, or ideas. Codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money. Any validity or expiry conditions will be displayed at purchase.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. OnceUponU does not intentionally store complete payment-card details when collected and processed directly by our payment provider. Alternative payment methods may be available depending on your country.
Completed stories are normally provided as downloadable PDFs and/or sent to the customer’s email address. You are responsible for providing a correct, accessible email address. Generation and delivery times may vary with system availability, story complexity, and third-party services.
Because OnceUponU stories are personalized digital products made specifically for each customer, purchases are generally non-refundable once generation of the purchased personalized content has begun, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
If a technical problem prevents generation or delivery, contact info@onceuponu.com. We will reasonably attempt to regenerate or deliver the story. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
You must not use OnceUponU to generate or upload content that is illegal, abusive, sexually explicit, exploitative, hateful, threatening, dangerous, or otherwise unlawful. We may refuse or stop generation when a request violates our content or safety requirements.
Your purchased personalized story may be downloaded, saved, and printed for personal and family use. Unless separately agreed, you may not resell, commercially distribute or reproduce it, or claim the OnceUponU service or underlying technology as your own. Third-party rights, including trademarks, characters, brands, photographs, and other protected material, remain with their respective owners.
Requests involving famous characters, brands, celebrities, copyrighted works, or other third-party intellectual property may be restricted, modified, or rejected where necessary. Submitting a request does not guarantee that OnceUponU can generate it.
We aim to keep OnceUponU available and reliable, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Temporary interruptions may result from maintenance, technical problems, internet connectivity, AI or payment providers, hosting services, or other third-party systems.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, OnceUponU is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from use of the service, temporary interruptions, or reasonable variations inherent in AI-generated content. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
We may update these Terms when our services, features, or legal requirements change. The latest version will always be published on our website with its most recent update date.
